The old adage holds true: Never do business with friends or family, it is the single best way to end an otherwise good relationship.  The fact is, most Realtors just shouldn't be in business, with an average of about 3 transactions per year they don't really have the experience to handle what is considered by many to be the biggest financial transaction of your life.

 

More importantly, these agents not only lack the experience, they also lack the ability to give you a good deal. Most agents need to charge their family and friends as much as they can just to survive in this highly competitive business. They don't really generate new business by offering anything of value, their strategy is more along the line of "work with me because I know you" , which effectively guilts you into a business relationship.

 

 

The Market is the Market. It doesn't care which Agent lists your home for sale in any given area. All agents and brokers are equal at advertising and producing a buyer for your home, the MLS & Internet see to that and the market determines who will buy your home, not the self-proclaimed "Area Expert" with his 101 point marketing system. All these agents accomplish is self promotion while diluting market facts, because they certainly cannot move the market. In the end, it doesn't matter who your agent is, it will not change your bottom line or the price you are willing to accept for your home, will it? It absolutely won't change what the buyer is willing to pay. Remember, the Market sells your home, not the agent. Be Smart and save money.

 

 

Our Company is relatively new (3 years) but our people have been involved in the Twin Cities real estate market for more than a decade. Our people average a little more than 12 years each in the Twin Cities market.

 

The company name and timeline are not as important as you may think. All Real Estate Brokers and Realtors are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Commerce and they do an excellent job of regulating our industry.

 

 

Absolutely Not! Your home will sell when price meets value. This will never change. No matter who your Realtor is. The market determines the sale price each and every time, it always has and always will. It doesn't matter who has your house listed for sale, it will sell with MLS & Internet exposure if the price meets the value, just like any commodity sold.

 

Look at it this way - Have you ever sold a stock? Did the price you received have anything to do with who your broker was? Of course not, the market doesn't care who placed your trade. The market dictates the price of stock just as the market determines price in real estate, not your broker. Yet this is how people have been conditioned to see their Realtor. Realtors, have convinced some of the public that they dictate when your home will sell and for how much. Not a chance, the market determines price and action every time.

 

 

As soon as your home is listed on the Realtor MLS and Internet every agent and home buyer has access to it. Every Realtor becomes a cooperating broker at this point and works to sell your listing just as it is his own. The only thing that matters is how much you pay your Realtor for the same service. The buyer doesn't care who lists your home for sale, it either interests them compared to what else is available at the comparable price or not.

 

 

It will sell for what it is worth. Homes are absorbed by the market. period. Nobody can sell your home for more than it is worth. What you want to do is find a company that gives you full market exposure at the best possible price, and we do that. Very few Realtors have more experience than we do and nobody offers a better price...Guaranteed!

 

 

How else could they afford to buy large extravagant office buildings, fancy cars, and vacation homes? Seriously. They need your unnecessarily high commission dollars to fund these purchases. They want you to believe that we still live in the Industrial age where they flash their own indulgences to show the consumer how impressive they are. It is all smoke and mirrors. 

 

When these agents list and sell your home you pay an average of 6-7% to them and they keep it all! This is known in our industry as a "hogger commission" because they don't need to split the commission with another agent. And, it is highly celebrated among Realtors and rewarded by their corporations.
